Job Description

Job Purpose:

 

The BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining the Building Management System to ensure optimal performance of all building services, including HVAC, lighting, power, fire alarm systems, and energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor and control the Building Management System (BMS) for efficient building operations.

  • Respond to alarms, faults, and system errors, and escalate issues to maintenance or engineering teams when needed.

  • Perform regular system checks, backups, and software updates to ensure BMS functionality.

  • Track energy usage and support initiatives to optimize energy efficiency.

  • Generate daily and periodic reports on system performance and incidents.

  • Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical technicians for system support and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain logs and records of system changes, alarms, and maintenance activities.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in compliance with company and local regulations.

  • Participate in regular training and development to stay updated with system advancements.
