Hotel Chief Accountant

Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
· Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and hospitality accounting standards.
· Coordinate internal and external audits, address findings, and implement corrective actions.
· Manage cash flow, banking transactions, and financial risk assessments.
· Assist in budget preparation, cost control initiatives, and variance analysis.
· Provide accurate financial reports and recommendations to support decision-making.
· Implement and maintain internal financial controls to prevent fraud and discrepancies.
· Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other department heads to support financial planning and budgeting.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 7–10 years of experience in hotel accounting, financial management,
· Strong knowledge of hospitality industry accounting standards (e.g., USALI – Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
· Hands-on experience with financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing processes.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
