Job Description
Job Purpose
Meeting the entities' needs of all procurement projects through the best suppliers/contractors/service providers at the best prices at the specified time to raise our profits by making the highest-quality and cost-effective purchases.
Key Accountabilities
Management Responsibilities:
· Manage the effective achievement of construction projects.
· Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
· Conducting market research and conditions to build a strategic relationship with the authorized suppliers/contractors.
· Conduct weekly meetings with the construction team to track the project’s activity.
Budgeting and Plans:
· Early involvement with the construction team to create a project plan and timeline and to set the project's budget.
Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures:
· Implement company policies, processes, and procedures.
Day-to-day Operations:
· Reviewing the received purchase requisitions to know and understand the requirements.
· Request for quotations for received PRs from the authorized suppliers registered in our company.
· Prequalification of potential suppliers/contractors
· Negotiating and bargaining with the suppliers for better prices, payment terms, warranty, delivery, etc.
· Making price comparison Analysis for all received offers.
· Issue a purchase order. based on the received PRs
· Manage and source tendering process, including RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.
· Organize site visits between contractors/vendors with the construction team.
· Provide a sample for the requested items. And provide the material to the requester.
· Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
· Follow up with the suppliers to make sure delivery is on time.
· Coordinating with the construction team to evaluate and rank the received proposals.
· Send payment requests and follow up with the finance team to process the payment on time.
· Maintain records of all documents (Archiving)
· Drafting the contracts/agreements and different contractor documents or POs to secure company's rights.
· Coordinate with the legal department to make sure the action does not violate the agreement.
· Vendor sourcing through (researching, evaluating, and communicating).
· Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
· Research potential suppliers by inventing the optimum price, achieving the quality required, gauging the shipping timelines & checking their certificates, Licenses & financial stability.
Continuous Improvement:
· Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
