Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales strategy of the hotel, maximizing revenue, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role involves managing corporate accounts, generating new business opportunities, and promoting the hotel’s services to ensure market competitiveness and growth.

·       Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and meet hotel targets.

·       Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate accounts, including regular follow-up and account servicing.

·       Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and competitive analysis.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel agencies, and event planners.

·       Coordinate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and strategies.

·       Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and sales meetings to promote the property and brand.

·       Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

·       Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

·       Monitor market trends and competitors, adjusting sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

·       Work closely with the operations team to ensure a seamless client experience from booking to post-event follow-up.

·       Collaborate with the revenue management team to maximize room occupancy and event space utilization.

·       Manage the sales department’s budget and track sales performance metrics, including revenue growth and client satisfaction.

·       Develop and maintain a database of potential clients and opportunities.

·       Provide regular reports to senior management on sales activities, achievements, and goals.

·       Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and contract negotiations for corporate and leisure business.

·       Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement in sales initiatives.

·       Handle client inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.

·       Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and corporate standards in all sales activities.

·       Manage and mentor junior sales staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
