Job Description
The Facilities Engineer supports the Facilities Manager in overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of a company’s buildings/properties, equipment, and infrastructure. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing vendor relationships, implementing periodic facility assessment and supporting facility improvements.
Key Accountabilities:
Facility Maintenance & Operations
Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, civil and mechanical) are functioning properly.
Respond to facility-related issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
Team Supervision
Support and oversee maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure work is completed on time and up to standard.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training as needed.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Liaise with external vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
Oversee contracts and service agreements to ensure quality work.
Ensure all services are performed within budget and on schedule.
Customer Management
Service Delivery: Ensure quality facility operations and customer satisfaction.
Issue Resolution: Handle and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
Emergency Response: Manage emergencies and provide clear communication.
Budget & Inventory Management
Assist in budgeting for maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.
Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Prepare the Material Plan.
Facility Periodic Assessments
Conduct routine facility condition assessments to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
Document findings and provide reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Assist in renovations, expansions, and efficiency improvement projects.
Data Collection for Department KPIs
Gather and analyze data related to facility operations, maintenance response times, equipment performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Provide reports and insights to support key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
